I hope your Thanksgiving went well, with lots of turkey, lots of laughs and lots of love. It is a special time to get together with friends and family alike. However some of us have family overseas, or in faraway places. It is at this time our hearts can get heavy, but let’s just remember the past Thanksgiving memories.
Let’s remember the guests that were an hour late, the guest that did not bring a host/hostess gift. Remember the guest that overstayed their welcome and brought the children that ran unsupervised throughout the house and scared everyone half to death? The aunt you thought was so sophisticated, and knew all about proper table manners and holiday etiquette, only to find out otherwise.
All in all, these mistakes are forgiven with family but not always by friends and colleagues. Perhaps it is a good idea to brush up on your cocktail and dining etiquette for this upcoming holiday season.
When attending future holiday gatherings, remember good manners and proper party etiquette matter, you never know when a business promotion will be sitting beside you at the table or mingling at your next cocktail event.
